The first Parfait Organic Artisan Ice Cream brick and mortar store is now open at Greenfire Campus, just next to Skillet Diner, at 2034 NW 56th Street.
The My Ballard team stopped by for today’s soft opening and sampled some of the fine artisan ice cream flavors.
Chef Adria Shimada, who founded the popular Parfait food truck business in 2009, is excited to bring her small batch, organic and artisan ice cream to a store front location in Ballard. My Ballard covered the story when the news broke back in June that Shimada was set to bring her ice cream to a storefront location in Greenfire Campus.
The new 1,000-square-foot space has been designed to keep families at the heart of the Parfait experience. The store boasts a modern, fresh look with cosy tables, stools and even a play corner filled with toys for the kids.
We were lucky enough to sample some fantastic ice cream from the extensive menu which includes delicacies such as earl grey, Ballard bee honey, vanilla bean, butter toffee crunch and chocolate peanut butter cup just to name a few.
The store is now open to the public and will be open everyday from noon to 10 p.m.
The My Ballard team will stop by later this week to grab some more photos when the store is fully up and running.
