My Ballard reader Cindy wrote in to report a car break in that took place earlier this evening on Ballard Ave. Cindy and her husband parked on Ballard Ave while they went to dinner at The Walrus and the Carpenter and returned to find their car window smashed and some belongings stolen.
The burglars took their toddler’s diaper bag and Cindy’s husband’s work bag which contained his computer. “Our toddlers car seat was filled with glass. So upsetting. We moved to Ballard this year from Manhattan and are shocked at the amount of crime,” writes Cindy.
Cindy did call the police regarding the incident but reports that they did not come. Cindy was “very disturbed by the lack of service.”
