The much anticipated opening of Ballard’s newest second hand bookstore, Twice Sold Tales, is here! The bookstore is now open in the back of Bauhaus Coffee (corner of NW Market St and 20th Ave NW).
John Watkins from Twice Sold Tales reports that the team have been doing a gradual opening and still have books and signage to get out on the floor. The first outside sign was put up over the weekend to let the neighbourhood know that they are officially open for business.
Watkins has been in the book business in partnership with Jamie Lutton since 1992, with his last Seattle location being in the U-District. He is also a long-time Seattle resident who volunteered at the Center for Wooden Boats since 1987, and co-founded the Sail Now! sailing instruction program there in 1989.
Twice Sold Tales is now open from noon to 8 p.m. everyday and are offering a special happy hour discount of 25% daily from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
The store offers an extensive collection of books for sale in store and on their website.

The My Ballard team will stop by later in the week when Twice Sold Tales is fully up and running to take some more photos.
