The much anticipated opening of Ballard’s newest brewery Bad Jimmy’s Brewing Co. (4358 Leary Way) is set for this Friday December 27. The new establishment will be open on the first evening of business from 5 p.m. – 2 a.m.
The Bad Jimmy’s crew are busily preparing for the opening and will have their Pale, Red, IPA, and Habanero Amber ready for locals to sample on Friday.
My Ballard initially covered the brewery back in June when they launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise money for essential brewing equipment, tasting room glasses and furniture, and to put the finishing touches on the exterior of their space.
The Bad Jimmy’s team consists of restaurant industry veterans and beer-obsessed entrepreneurs Billy Burdick, Seth Mashni, Jill Kramer, and Greg Gramenz. With their previous experience and passion for craft-beer-making combined the crew are aiming to “reinvent intensity as it exists in the craft beer world.”
Once all is up and running the Bad Jimmy’s team plan to distribute their brews to local bars and restaurants.
After Friday’s opening the brewery will be open from noon until 2 a.m. on Saturday, December 28. From then on the hours will be noon until midnight Sunday-Thursday.
