The Salish Sea Trading Cooperative sailors are set to host a design review meeting for their cargo boat with refrigerated hold this Saturday, January 25 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. at Ballard Coffee Works’ Community Room.
The 35′ sailboat with an electric engine will serve as carbon-neutral transport for trading local goods back and forth from Ballard/Seattle and points West and North (Bainbridge, Whidbey Island, Port Townsend, and Port Ludlow).
The sailor-owned cooperative seeks to add resiliency to our community as we mitigate climate change and peak oil.
All are welcome to attend the meeting. Click here to learn more about Salish Sea Trading Co.
