Friday, February 21:
- Comedy Sportz Seattle Show at new venue Atlas Theatre (3509 Fremont Ave N) at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Click here for more details and to buy tickets.
Saturday, February 22:
- St. Paul’s United Church of Christ Pancake Breakfast and Book Sale (6512 12th Ave NW) from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. There is a $5 suggested donation for the breakfast but all are welcome regardless of ability to pay.
- North Beach Work Party from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Meet at the main entrance to the park, at 90th St. and 24th Ave NW. Bring water and a snack if you need them. Wear weather-appropriate layers that can get dirty. Work boots or rain boots strongly encouraged. Click here to find out more.
- Preserving Stained Glass presentation and demonstration at Seattle Stained Glass (2510 N 45th St) from 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Historic Seattle are coordinating the event. Cost is $20 members; $25 general public; $10 students. Click here for more details.
- Cool Weather Veggies in Containers Class at Swanson’s Nursery (9710 15th Ave NW) from 10 a.m. Short on space but longing to grow your own fresh veggies? Learn the different options for growing vegetables in containers, as well as tips about how to grow several veggies that thrive in our cool spring weather. Cost is free.
- Spring Bulb Planting Workshop for Kids at Swanson’s Nursery (9710 15th Ave NW) from 2 p.m. Hyacinths, daffodils, and crocs, oh my! Join Swansons’ Molly Cronin to dissect and examine flower bulbs from the inside out. Participants will plant their own bulb container garden to take home. Cost is $15 and includes container, bulbs, and soil. Sign up by calling Swansons at (206) 782-2543.

- Kangaroo and Kiwi Pub Annual Beach Party (2026 NW Market St) from 8 p.m. Come along and enjoy the last of the Aussie summer in the pub filled with sand and palm trees. Wear your best beach outfit.

- Ballard Farmers Markets along Ballard Ave from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Click here to see this week’s specials.
- Small Fruits and Berries for Your Garden Class at Swanson’s Nursery (9710 15th Ave NW) from 11 a.m. Early spring is one of the best times to plant. Join local horticulturalist and enthusiastic plantswoman, Kathy Boullin, for a fun and informative session about growing a variety of small fruits, berries and grapes. Class is free.
- Mostly Nordic Concert Series: Devilishy Danish at The Nordic Heritage Museum (3014 NW 67th St) at 4 p.m. Danish-born Mads Tolling, two-time Grammy Award–winning jazz violinist, internationally acclaimed, and former member of Turtle Island Quartet, is joined by celebrated pianist and composer Aaron Otheim in a delightful blend of jazz and classics — Danish style!
