Holman Rd is set to get a facelift starting next Monday, April 14. SDOT crews will repave 1.3 miles of Holman Rd NW from Greenwood Ave N to NW 87th St.
In addition to the paving work, crews will make several pedestrian safety improvements including the construction of a pedestrian median on Holman Rd NW at the intersection of 13th Ave NW and 7th Ave NW.
The current median at Holman Rd NW and 15th Ave NW will also be enlarged to provide a safer area. SDOT crews will also make improvements to nearby bus shelters.
To reduce impacts to the surrounding community, this project has been divided into two phases. Click here to learn more about the phases in our write up that was posted last month.
Drivers can expect some lane closures and parking restrictions within the construction zone. Regular construction hours will be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the exception of bridge expansion joint replacement work of Holman Road Bridge in Zone 2, which will require a full closure of Holman Road Northwest at 8th Avenue Northwest in both directions while work is conducted during weekend nights.
Funding from this project comes from the Bridging the Gap transportation levy and a Federal Surface Transportation Program preservation grant of $1.1 million.
Glad to see work being done on the roads but am hoping it doesn’t take as long as the project on 1005th from Greenwood to Aurora.
Good news. It’s a pain in the short term but it’s good to see the city upgrading roads.

Hi there fantastic website! Does running a blog such as this take a large amount
of work? I have absolutely no knowledge of
computer programming but I had been hoping to start my
own blog soon. Anyways, should you have any recommendations
or techniques for new blog owners please share.
I know this is off topic however I just wanted to ask.
Appreciate it!
