Long traffic delays stretched deep into the evening commute after a collision blocked all but one northbound lane on the Ballard Bridge. The accident happened just before 3 p.m., sparking a car fire.
There’s no word on injuries. Traffic jammed Fremont, Aurora, Westlake and the Mercer Mess — making for a very messy evening commute. It took over an hour to clear the accident; all lanes opened at 4:10 p.m.

yeah. that was great. of course I feel fortunate to be stuck in traffic as opposed to whomever was taken by emts….
big thumbs down to everyone who refuses to allow people to merge in these situations. we can all clearly see its a big ol’ traffic mess – by not allowing people to merge, you are making things worse and being an a-hole.
also, “Long traffic delays stretched deep into the evening commute ” – uh, its like 5:30.
