My Ballard reader Domie Brown is taking part in the Red-Bell 100 bicycle event this summer and Peddler Brewing (1514 NW Leary Way) is hosting a fundraiser.
Brown will be riding in the charity ride this June that covers the 104 miles from Redmond to Bellingham
The fundraiser will be held this Thursday, May 22, from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Peddler will be donating $1 from each pint sold to Brown’s fundraising campaign which supports World Bicycle Relief and Cascade Bicycle Club Education Foundation.
Brown chose these two great causes because of the impact they make on the lives of others both here in Washington and overseas. World Bicycle Relief provides bikes to kids in rural Africa, allowing them to more easily access important services like education and health care. Cascade Bicycle Club Education Foundation provides bicycle safety and maintenance education to thousands of Washington kids each year.
“This is my third year riding the Red-Bell 100, and it’s become something I look forward to all year long. This year, I want to raise more money than ever for these two great causes,” says Brown.
Enjoy some Ballard brews while supporting a great cause!
