The Old Ballard Liquor Co. and local Chef Jason Harris have teamed up to create a Scandinavian pop-up restaurant. The restaurant, aptly called Tumble Swede, is set to dish up modern Nordic cuisine with a Pacific Northwest focus.
Tumble Swede is set to use local, seasonal and foraged ingredients and draw on this Nordic history of our area. The pop-up will create Modern Scandinavian dining experiences in locations around Ballard.
In terms of drinks menu, the pop-up will of course include New American Aquavit pairings.
“This isn’t your grandmother’s cliché 1950’s food, and we don’t serve meatballs. It’s fresh, vibrant, modern, uniquely American, clearly Scandinavian and unmistakably Northwest,” says Lexi from The Old Ballard Liquor Co.
Menus are set four-course meals that pris-fixe around $50. The first pop-up is set for the weekend of April 17-19 and will be hosted by Bloom Ballard (5410 17th Ave NW).
Tickets can be purchased online.
