Ballard High School’s young filmmakers are at it again: several students are nominated in the upcoming 52nd Annual Regional Emmy Awards ceremony, hosted by the Northwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS).
“Clipped Wings,” by Coleman Andersen, Duncan Gowdy & Leo Pfeifer is nominated in three categories
Eighteen students from BHS’s Digital Filmmaking Program are nominated in six different categories for eight different productions this year. This is the ninth year in a row that BHS students have been nominated by the academy; last year they won the Short Form Fiction and Photographer/Editor categories.
The students are nominated in the following categories:
Short Form Fiction:
1. Fly Me to the Moon by Miles Andersen, Jasper Cote, PJ Hase & Gideon Wolfe
2. Stolen by Coleman Andersen & Leo Pfeifer
Short Form Non-Fiction:
1. Audio Input by Duncan Boszko, Jack O’Neal, Piper Phillips & Sho Schrock-Manabe
2. GeoFORCE: A Journey to Understanding by LeoPfeifer & Raven Two Feathers
3. Raven Rock by Rachel Cole, Jaya Flanary & Meagen Tajalle
Long Form Non-Fiction:
1. Clipped Wings by Coleman Andersen, Duncan Gowdy & Leo Pfeifer
Public Service Announcement:
1. Food Lifeline by Duncan Gowdy, Leo Pfeifer & Zach Green
2. Membership by Ruby Anderson, PJ Hase & Cameron Miller
