According to a report by Seattle Eater, two sons of former Paseo owner Lorenzo Lorenzo are opening a new restaurant in the neighborhood this Wednesday.

The new spot, Un Bien, is owned by Julian and Lucas Lorenzo and will open at the former location of Lunchbox Laboratory and Burger Hero at 7302 15th Ave NW.

According to Seattle Eater, Lorenzo Lorenzo is now officially retired but has been assisting around the restaurant before this week’s opening.

In terms of the menu, locals can expect the Caribbean flavors that have made the Lorenzo family well known in Seattle including Caribbean sandwiches, fire-roasted corn, rice and bean bowls, and full plate entrées. The eatery will also serve up Cuban toast, espresso, and Caribbean breakfast sandwiches when opening hours are extended down the track.

Despite having similar items available, the Lorenzo brothers have confirmed with Seattle Eater that the menu will be different from that of the eatery formerly owned by their father.

Although the menu is set to be different, the Un Bien staff will not be. The entirety of the staff will comprise of former Paseo employees from both locations when the business was owned by Lorenzo Lorenzo. It is therefore clear that many of the former staff members did not hold the same sentiments held by those who filed the law suit against the former Paseo owners.

The new eatery will open this Wednesday offering lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. daily. Breakfast hours, beginning from 7 a.m., will be added to the schedule sometime in the near future.

Unlike the former Paseo locations, Un Bien will be accepting both cash and card.
