They 65th annual Greenwood Seafair Parade, and oldest neighborhood Seafair-sanctioned parade, takes place tonight at 6 p.m. The event is expected to bring around 10,000 people to Greenwood Avenue and 85th Street meaning traffic and transit in the area will be affected.
The parade, featuring 100 entries including floats, drill teams, unicyclists and classic cars, starts at North 95th Street and goes south along Greenwood Avenue North, then turns west on North 85th Street to 6th Avenue NW.
Most of downtown Greenwood will be closed to traffic from 5-10 p.m. Metro buses including the 5 will be rerouted onto alternate nearby streets from 4 p.m. until 8:30.
The missed bus stops on the 5 route are as listed: NorthBound Greenwood Ave. N/Far side N 80 St.- Far side N 103 St.; SouthBound Greenwood Ave. N/Far side N 105 St.- Far side N 85 St.
