The 12th annual Sustainable Ballard festival on September 19th will be paired with an inaugural Seattle Summer Parkways event to transform 7 miles of Ballard’s streets into open-street zones for neighborhoods to use safely for family-fun exploring and activities along the route. Volunteer residents and businesses are needed to help make this happen.
With a parallel event being launched in Central District one week before, more than 300 volunteer positions are available, including intersection management, community ambassadors, route patrols, mobile (bike) mechanics, information booth staff, event set-up and tear-down, and more.
More information about each volunteer role as well as instructions on how to sign up can be found at www.cascade.org/summerparkways. All volunteers will receive free lunch and a t-shirt.
