As you may know, Ballard was not always a part of the city of Seattle. It once stood as its own town. On November 6, 1906, residents of Ballard voted to join the city of Seattle 996 to 874, and officially joined Seattle May 29, 1907, as reported today by Daniel Demay, of the Seattle PI.
