Olaf’s Ballard (6301 24th Ave NW) invites you to kick off Winter Solstice starting Friday, December 18th at 3pm with their Bourbon Barrel Aged Beers.
This event will also be hosted with Tomme Arthur, head brewmaster at The Lost Abbey, Port Brewing and Hop Concept Brewing in San Diego. Arthur be at Olaf’s from 3pm-6:30pm Friday night only.
Olaf’s will begin pouring with the following 5 beers on tap:
- The Lost Abbey – Angel’s Share Bourbon Barrel Strong Ale – 14.7%
- The Lost Abbey – Track #10 a Bourbon Barrel aged Serpent’s Stout with Cacoa Nibs and Coffee – 13.5%
- Port Brewing – Older Viscosity Barrel Ale – 12.0%
- Fremont Brewing – Kentucky Dark Star Imperial Stout – 11.0%
- Alesmith – Imperial Vietnamese Coffee Speedway Stout – 14.7%
After those beers run out, Olaf’s will pour from the following taps, in no particular order:
- The Lost Abbey – Deliverance (a blend of Serpent’s Stout and Angels Share) – 12.5%
- Georgetown – Bourbon Barrel Porter – 8.5%
- Two Beers – Overhang Bourbon Barrel Imperial Porter – 12.9%
- Elysian – Bi Bifrost Bourbon Barrel Aged Barley Wine – 10.6%
- Uinta – Jacked B Nimble Bourbon Barrel Pumpkin Ale – 11.0%
- Goose Island – Bourbon County Stout – 13.8%
- And a couple more surprise beers
There are many dark, delicious and powerful beers that will be pouring well into next week.
Olaf’s kitchen will close Christmas Eve at 8pm. They will be closed Christmas Day and will also close for New Years Day.
