Strong winds bring down trees, power lines on Market St

This afternoon’s strong winds have brought down trees and power lines on NW Market St between 24th Ave NW and Ballard Ave NW.

The trees were blown over onto a vehicle (pictured below), which amazingly only suffered minimal damage.

Traffic is currently down to one lane in each direction as SDOT crews work to clear the area. Motorists are advised to use other routes until the trees have been cleared.
