FRIDAY, March 11

  • Moonlight Yoga (5340 Ballard Ave NW) from 8 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. Their monthly New Moon Yoga classes begin with 45 minutes of invigorating flow, followed by about 15 minutes of free-form movement, and finish with 30 minutes of restorative asana. Cost is $18. Register online or call (206) 972-2999.
  • Live Music
    • Jazz at Egan’s Ballard Jam House (1707 NW Market St). 7 p.m. – Nora Michaels and Victor Janusz – Blues chanteuse Nora Michaels teams up with “Piano Man” Victor Janusz in “Vic and Nora: Song Sleuths.” 9 p.m. – Arwen Dewey and Helene Smart – French movie music from Arwen Dewey and cabaret favorites from Bainbridge Island’s Helene Smart.

SATURDAY, March 12

  • Pippi Longstocking Day at the Nordic Heritage Museum (3014 NW 67th St) from 10 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. The celebrations will include a breakfast and a movie screening. Cost is $9 for adult non-members, $7 for adult members, $5 for children and free for children under 5.

    • The Crocodile Presents The Sweeplings, Tine Messengers and Mindie Lind at Sunset Tavern (5433 Ballard Ave NW) 9 p.m.  Tickets $12.
    • Jazz at Egan’s Ballard Jam House (1707 NW Market St). 7 p.m. – Kim Maguire and Gretchen Rumbaugh – Jazz singer Kim Maguire presents “Between The Sheets”; Portland cabaret chanteuse Gretchen Rumbaugh sings theatrical and jazz arrangements of Beatles songs. 9 p.m. – Delilah Beaucoup and Joanne Klein – Vintage torch cabaret from Delilah Beaucoup and festive jazz from Joanne Klein.
