Seattle Met reports that the neighborhood’s latest seafood joint, Chase Lounge (1556 NW 56th St), opened in Ballard over the weekend.
The new eatery is owned by Rob Milliron who has worked at both Radici and Bizarro Italian Cafe.
According to Seattle Met, Milliron grew up with seafood as a centerpiece of his diet and that his new establishment pay’s tribute to his grandfather who taught him to cook.
The eatery’s menu features seafood favorites including ahi crudo, New England style clam chowder and a rotating selection of raw oysters provided by “oyster god” Kevin Bartlett.
Drinks wise, the cocktails will be curated by Travers Romann who is originally from New Orleans.
According to the article, Chase Lounge was booked out during their soft opening earlier this month and Milliron has since taken patron’s feedback on board.
Milliron created the eatery to have the feel of somewhere his friends would be able to enjoy delicious food while having something to do.
“The old school arcade games in the mezzanine are a shout out to”us ‘indoor kids’. The ones who weren’t sportsters” Milliron told Seattle Met.
Chase Lounge is open from Sunday – Monday and Wedesday – Thursday from 3 p.m. – 11 p.m. and Friday – Saturday from 3 p.m. – 12 a.m.
