This is the final week for locals to catch the work of the talented Ballard High student directors and their casts in the One Act Plays event.
The performance comprises of four plays including Sure Thing, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, Diversions and Scribe’s Paradox.
The Plays are directed by four different students; Aisha Carpenter, Alex Howell, Izzy Mar, and Camaira Metz.
In terms of their involvement, the students are completely responsible for the productions with program director, Shawn Riley, holding an advisory role.
“It provides them with the opportunity to manage everything from rehearsal schedule to technical theater directions. The cast takes their direction and works hard to execute their vision,” says Riley.
All performances are at the BHS Earl Kelley Center for Performing Arts (1418 NW 65th St) and begin at 7:30 p.m. May 19, 20 and 21.
Tickets are $15 for Adults and $10 for Students/Seniors. Advance tickets are available online.
It is suggested that these plays are not appropriate for young children.
