The next Ballard Summer Parkways planning meeting is on tonight (Wednesday, June 22) from 5 p.m. – 6 p.m. at Loyal Heights Community Center (2101 NW 77th St).
SDOT is partnering with the Sustainable Ballard Festival, Seattle Parks and Recreation and dozens of community partners for year’s Ballard Summer Parkways event on Saturday, August 27, from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
The Summer Parkways route will highlight some of the beautiful natural areas and vibrant neighborhoods located in Ballard, including Ballard Commons Park, Ballard Corners Park, Salmon Bay Park, Loyal Heights Community Center, Sunset Hill Park, Bergen Place Park and the myriad shops and business along Ballard Avenue.
Tonight’s meeting will provide a chance for the local community to weigh in on the program and help determine what event organizers need to do to best meet the needs of your community with this event.
“We would love it if you could make it to represent your community and cause. We’ll have a ton of programming updates, as well as some tasty snacks and time for your input and ideas,” says Jordan Adams from the Events Creative team.
The team is also looking for volunteers for the event and have shifts of all kinds for locals with all types of ability. Locals can sign up to volunteer online.
