The long awaited opening of Ballard’s latest restaurant, Copine, is nearly here!

According to Seattle Eater, Shaun McCrain and partner Jill Kinney (pictured), will open the 64-seat restaurant at 6460 24th Avenue NW on July 5.

McCrain, who was formerly a chef at Book Bindery, announced the plans for the restaurant back in 2014 and has been pretty tight lipped about it ever since.

Copine is set to serve up American cuisine with French flourishes, according to Seattle Eater.

The restaurant will feature a 10-seat chef’s table with a special menu and a 12-seat bar.

McCrain also told Seattle Met that he will also open the Copine Project, a retail takeaway arm of the business set to serve up soups and other lunch fare. The Copine Project is set to launch in August.

Copine will be open from Tuesday through Saturday from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.
