WorkSource is excited to spread the word about their new workshop series geared toward those interested in reentering the workforce.
“It’s perfect for anyone who feels they have barriers to employment such as, long-term unemployment, homelessness, criminal history or disabilities. It’s also a valuable workshops series for anyone looking for work,” says Anne Masters from WorkSource Seattle.
The workshops will be held at the Ballard Library and are free to attend. Each workshop is followed by half an hour of service provider resources. Participants can get connected with Basic Food, OrcaLift, healthcare insurance, vocational rehabilitation, mental health resources, employment and training, and more.
“In our first series, we saw an average of 12-13 participants who, not only learned tools to search for and find a job, but they also signed up for these valuable resources on-site,” says Masters.
The 6-week workshop series will start on Thursday, July 28, from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. (Note the first session is on a Thursday and the remaining sessions are on Tuesdays.)
Job seekers are encouraged to come to one or all six of the workshops.
