The WSDOT ferry Sealth passed through the Ballard Locks this morning en route to Lake Union for 9 weeks of repairs.
The 90-car Issaquah Class Sealth was towed from Eagle harbor Maintenance Facility on Bainbridge Island, through Seattle’s Lake Washington Ship Canal, to Lake Union drydock for maintenance.
Sealth is entering drydock where crews at Lake Union Drydock Company will carry out routine maintenance, structural preservation, steel replacement, piping replacement, and security upgrades. Cost of the work is $1.5 million.
