Police have arrested an 18-year-old suspect for suspicion of murdering a woman in her Ballard-Frelard home last night.
After a family member discovered the woman with “obvious wounds,” police and fire responded to the 300 block of NW 47th street at 9:30 last night. Homicide detectives arrived a short time later.

This morning, police say they made an arrest.
“During their investigation, detectives developed information that led them to an address south of Seattle where they contacted and arrested the suspect,” Seattle Police said. “He was later booked into the King County Jail.”
Detectives say it remains an active investigation, and they have not released any other details. We’ll update as we learn more.
