On Wednesday, August 9, the Ballard Library will have a virtual reality recreational vehicle – known as the VRVe – for people to try out from noon to 6:30 pm.
Developed by a company called Fearless360°, people will have a chance to experience the following virtual and augmented realities:
- Hear local artists explore the theme “Me/We: Our Future City in 360º” around a storytelling campfire
- Take a virtual tour of U.S. national parks through View-Masters and VR headsets and learn how the technologies are connected
- Experience “Reforestation of Imagination,” an augmented reality (AR) flower bed with real and virtual flowers
According the library, “Fearless360º is a start-up collective working at the intersection of arts, culture, education, storytelling and technology to develop content, programming and curriculum for immersive/VR/AR/360º media.”
