Get ready for pop-up parklets around Seattle tomorrow; Friday, September 15 is Seattle’s PARK(ing) Day, in which people turn on-street parking spots into creative public spaces. It’s part of an annual, international event that’s intended to raise awareness about the importance of walkable, livable communities.
There are 47 total installations planned for around the city, with three in Ballard:
- sPARK(ing) Conversations (8343 15th Ave NW) 9am – 3pm
- Mountain Pacific Bank (2244 NW 56th St) “Join in for corn hole, snacks, and drinks!”
- Ghost Images (on the street in front of Noble Fir at 5316 Ballard Ave NW) “Screen Printing – bring your own shirt (some will be provided)! 10 am – 4 pm”
