A youth theater program is coming back to Ballard this fall, set to offer performances at local community centers.
Theater for Young Children toured Seattle’s parks over the summer, and they’re continuing their performances at Ballard Community Center and Local Heights Community Center in the coming months. The theater group will be performing Juan and Maria (based on a Filipino folk tale similar to Hanzel and Gretel) and Scaredy Squirrel, created by author Melanie Watt. The 50-minute plays are all free, and are appropriate for children ages 2 to 10.
Juan at Maria (Juan and Maria in Tagalog) and Scaredy Squirrel will perform at the Ballard Community Center on Wed, Oct. 18th at 11:15 am, and at the Loyal Heights Community Center on Friday, Nov. 17th.
I really love theater, and my favorite genre is drama. I have studied it in details at college and can recommend you to check some free essays on drama on this resource https://artscolumbia.org/free-essays/drama/ for students. I think that is a great idea to inculcate the love to theater in the children souls.
