Next weekend is the seventh annual Nordic Knitting Conference, from Friday Oct. 6 to Sunday Oct. 8 at the Nordic Heritage Museum. For three days, Scandinavians Arne Nerjordet and Carlos Zachrison – known as Arne & Carlos – will join a host of other instructors offering lessons on Nordic crochet, knitting, spinning and more. (Click here for a full list of the instructors.)
The classes run from 9am to 6:30 pm on Friday, 9am to 8pm on Saturday, and 9am to 5pm on Sunday. There are morning and evening sessions each day, teaching classes such as Latvian Fingerless Mitts, Knitted Birds, Skolt Sami Socks and more.
