On Saturday, Oct. 21, the Market Street Singers will host their annual rummage sale in the basement under the old chapel of the St. Luke’s Church (5710 22nd Ave NW) from 9am to 4pm. “Not only lots of bargains in Ballard, but good fun,” the organizers say. “And a great way to meet us.”
About the Market Street Singers:
The Market Street Singers, named for Ballard’s “Main Street,” debuted in the summer of 2004 for a Ballard ARTwalk. News of a new community choir for Ballard spread quickly, drawing 35 singers who pulled off a well-received performance with only six rehearsals. Our performance later that year at a fundraiser for the Interfaith Hospitality Network to aid homeless families began a tradition of community service appearances at hospitals, retirement centers, and charity events.
