Now that you’re stuffed full of turkey, it’s time to get out there and walk and shop off some calories. There’s a lot going on this holiday weekend:
Friday, November 24th
- More than 20 Ballard merchants donate a portion of today’s sales to local charities on Ballard Gives Black Friday. Go shopping and support our neighborhood!
- In downtown Seattle, the 27th annual Macy’s holiday parade starts at 9 a.m. About 20,000 people are expected to attend.
- Also downtown, the annual Christmas tree lighting at Westlake Park will begin at 4 p.m. About 15,000 people are expected.
- Wildlights at Woodland Park Zoo begins for the season, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. nightly
- Live music:
- SixTwoSeven, Grunge Tree, Little Hero play at Substation, 645 NW 45th St, 8 p.m., $8
- Greyhounds, Stucky Jackson & The Boys and Guests at Sunset Tavern, 9 p.m., $12
- Polyrhythmics, Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio, Whitney Mongé, @ Tractor, 9 p.m., $20
Saturday, November 25th
- Help spruce up Ballard Corners Park (17th and 63rd) by joining the work party, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine. Bring your gloves.
- Boy Scout Troop & Crew 100 Ballard will open their annual Christmas tree lot at noon in the usual spot by Ballard Market.
- Ballard HolidayFest at Bergen Place Park will feature live music, free photos with Santa, popcorn, treats and hot chocolate, 3-5 p.m., free
- Wildlights at Woodland Park Zoo is back for the season, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. nightly
- Live music:
- Giants in the Trees, Electric NoNo playing at Sunset Tavern, 9 p.m., $15
- Polyrhythmics, Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio, Whitney Mongé, @ Tractor, 9 p.m., $20

Sunday, November 26th
- The Ballard Farmers Market will be open in Old Ballard, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
