On Saturday, Sept. 15, the Ballard Patagonia is teaming up with Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii to host a Ballard cleanup, starting at 10am.
Brothers Nick and Hans Schippers, originally hailing from Kingston, Washington, are leading the cleanup, which is part of a West Coast tour to pick up trash along beaches and waterways from Washington to California. Their goal is to educate 10,000 kids along the way about plastic pollution and water quality.
The cleanup will take place in the downtown Ballard area and along the water. They’ll provide bags for picking up the trash, and will have an informational session about plastic pollution and waste diversion. Patagonia will provide coffee and donuts for volunteers at 1pm after the cleanup.
Sustainable Coastlines is a nonprofit which started in New Zealand, aimed at reducing pollution and educating underserved populations about plastic in the oceans.

Plastic is even in our food supply. We have a human population problem
Most of the population increase will come from the 3rd World. Guilt-ridden coastal liberals only have dogs and cats.
Thank you !!!
god forbid they move a vagrants old crusty discarded blanket…CALL THE NAVIGATION TEAM!!!!

Why do they look mad? Is this court ordered volunteerism?
