Chicago-style pizza has come to Phinney Ridge, as Windy City Pie gets ready to open its doors in the former Phinney Market Pub and Eatery, which closed last summer. They haven’t opened their doors for dine-in business yet, but they’re offering delivery and to-go orders in the meantime.
Windy City, known for its deep-dish pies with a crispy cheesy edges, used to operate out of a walk-up counter at Interbay’s Batch 206 Distillery until recently — they closed up shop there on Dec. 31. Now, they’re transforming the old Phinney Market Pub into a pizzeria.
“Not ready for dine-in yet, but we can make pizza and we’ve heard the demand from you all, so use our website and let’s get you fed,” Windy City posted on Facebook.
According to Eater, the new restaurant will be all-ages with seating (booths included) for 63, plus another dozen tables on the front sidewalk.
While they aren’t fully operational quite yet, they are offering take-out and orders on Caviar. To-go orders must be placed online, and are available daily from 4pm until they run out of ingredients.

Oh yes! This is my favorite pizza place in Seattle! The Seattle Times agreed, and readers picked it as their favorite spot in 2016. Glad they get their own store now, hopefully the more prominent location will bring them business!
Of course we love Chicago style pizza here in Chicago West.
I’m confused. Sometimes you call us San Francisco North, sometimes NYC West, now Chicago West.
Which is it bro?
Not mutually exclusive.
“I’m confused.”
Indeed.
