The Ballard and Fremont Greenways are about to join forces, and are hosting a neighborhood launch party on Wednesday to kick things off.
The Ballard Greenways group has a number of potential greenways in the works — the map below shows a series of routes that the greenways organizers have highlighted as areas where people would like to see new routes created.
The launch, planned for Wednesday, Feb. 27 from 6 to 7:30pm at Peddler Brewing Company, will be a chance for both Fremont and Ballard residents to come together and learn about local greenways projects and the people organizing them.
“We’ll brainstorm and start to set our priorities for making Ballard and Fremont streets safe and more enjoyable for everyone who wants to walk and bike in our neighborhoods,” the organizers write on the event page.
