For the first time since The Canal took ownership of the venue next to the Ballard Locks, they’ll be open to the general public.
The Canal will be open to the public on Sundays throughout June, part of Jewel Hospitality’s “Pints on the Patio” series.
The open hours will be 12pm to 6pm on the following Sundays: the 9th, 16th, and 23rd. Each event will feature a beer garden, with a rotating cast of beers. They’ll have a few food options, but you can also bring your own. (Jewel will update each event’s beer and food offerings on their Instagram page.)
“Depending how the month goes, perhaps we’ll remain open later in summer, but for now we’re excited for the next three Sundays to hang with Ballard,” Jewel Hospitality social media manager Will Lemke tells My Ballard.
I recently worked on a home right across from the Locks and this place. Views from there are very special and many here have never got to experience them, until now. So nice of them to share!
I never thought I’d find common ground with you but this comment really made my day. Thank you for the positivity and endorsement.
I’ve been there once and loved the space. I’m glad they are opening to the public so more people can see it.
Boy, I hope they are able to get the campers to move from this little park. This morning a guy was using the west side path into the Canal as a bathroom and someone was probably looking at him from the restaurant, he went crazy! Shouting obscenities and waving his arms around.
