Crews will be working overtime on the Multimodal Corridor Project this weekend to minimize weekday impacts to businesses along Market St.
Their plan is to pour concrete on the north side of the road between 28th and 24th Avenues NW, paving both the road and driveway panels at some of the businesses along that stretch.
SDOT says that nearby residents should expect noise from trucks, crews, and equipment on Friday and Saturday nights — they’ve been granted a temporary noise variance to complete the work.
Work will begin Friday, June 28th, with pavement demolition happening at 3pm, finishing by 10pm. Crews will start pouring concrete at 5pm on Friday and expect to be done by midnight.
On Saturday, work will begin at 3pm with more concrete pouring. They expect to be finished by 4am on Sunday morning,
“Thanks for your patience and support while we complete this project,” the SDOT writes in an email notification. “We’re working to minimize construction impacts as much as possible.”

Why are they working on the north side? Isn’t the bike path on the south side?
Because you aren’t allowed to do anything in this city for non-pollution spewing machines without also doing stuff for the almighty driver.
That’s a good example of a narrow world view.
