It’s not every day you see a Washington state ferry pass through the Ballard Locks.
The Elwha ferry was tugged through the locks this morning at 9:30am on its way to Lake Union dry dock for maintenance.
The 73-foot-wide ferry, which was originally built in 1967, carries 144 vehicles.
