Parking spaces around the city will be turning into pop-up parks one day next month.
PARK(ing) Day 2019 is happening on Friday, September 20th, and the city is now taking applications.
“Take advantage of this opportunity to re-imagine a parking spot into an inviting space to chat with friends and neighbors, play games, showcase your creativity, or do almost anything you can imagine,” the Seattle Department of Transportation’s announcement reads.
SDOT will be accepting applications until Monday, August 26th — visit the event website and read the step-by-step guidelines, and then apply online.

Meth RVs exempted of course.
This seems like a waste of taxpayer money.
How is it justified by SDOT?
fixing the “missing link” will eliminate about 200 parking spaces in the Ballard area.
