Work to repave the Aurora Bridge will resume this weekend, which could cause congestion in Ballard and other parts of North Seattle.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction of the bridge from Friday (August 23) night at 7pm until 5am Monday (August 26) morning.
This is the fourth (and hopefully final) weekend of work on the bridge — the Washington State Department of Transportation has been working on sections of the bridge since the end of May.
Crews will be working on the north section of the bridge this weekend, closing lanes to scrape off old asphalt, make repairs, and repave.
The work is weather dependent, so the work could be postponed if there’s rain in the forecast.
