The wait is over — PCC opened today at the new Ballard Blocks 2 development just next to the Ballard Bridge.
The store opened its doors at 9am this morning, and is celebrating with free coffee from Tony’s Coffee and donuts from Mighty-O. And, they’re gifting the first 113 shoppers with a free bag of PCC coffee.
The Ballard PCC is 24,000 square feet, and features the co-op’s first fast-casual 25-seat restaurant with made-to-order dishes and local wine, beer, and cider. There’s a rooftop deck with views of the Ballard Bridge, and a large art installation by illustrator Kyler Martz including a 16-foot-tall octopus.
The store also has the co-op’s popular signature deli, with fresh pizzas, a taqueria, grain bowls, and self-serve offerings with an antipasti bar, yogurt bar, hot bar with scratch-made dishes such as Moroccan Lemon Chicken and Glazed Tempeh Fajitas, and a cold bar with organic salad ingredients.
The new store is located at 1451 N.W. 46th St — their hours will be 6am to 11pm daily.
