After nine years, Fremont’s Pie has served their last pie.
The owners of the popular sweet and savory pie shop (3515 Fremont Ave N) announced their closure on social media on Wednesday, saying it’s time for other life pursuits.
“It has been a wonderful and wild ride these last nine years in Fremont but our chapter as owners has come to an end,” the Pie owners wrote on Facebook. They’re selling their Pie food truck and the Fremont brick-and-mortar is up for lease — they’ll even sell their recipes.
Co-owner Jess Whitsitt told Eater Seattle that she’s in grad school pursuing a degree in marriage and family therapy, so it’s time to move on from baking.
“I am very proud of the product and brand we have created and would be happy to pass it off to the right person who wanted to take it on and make it their own,” she said.
