The yearly winter festival at the National Nordic Museum is this weekend, happening Nov. 23rd and 24th.
The 42nd annual Julefest will transform the museum into a winter wonderland, with a craft and specialties market with more than 40 vendors, Nordic treats, kids crafts and activities, photos with Santa, live music, and a Skål-hosted beer garden on Saturday night (Nov. 23) from 5 to 9pm.
Grab some authentic Nordic treats from Goodies2Go, participate in the kids’ crafts and activities inside Santa’s workshop…and take photos with Santa. Foodies will want to take time for lunch with both traditional and new Nordic cuisine including lefse, open-face sandwiches, grilled Museum dogs, meatballs, seafood, roasted nuts, and gourmet coffee or espresso. Grab freshly made aebleskiver in the East Garden or enjoy the expanded Valhalla Beer Garden serving up beer, glogg, wine, spirits, and aquavit.
Julefest will be open 10am to 5pm on both days (Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 23 and 24), with tickets costing $8 each for non-members. Museum members and children 13 and under will be admitted at no cost.
