For the 63rd year, the Scouts Christmas Tree sale will be at St. Alphonsus Church parking, starting Nov. 30 and going through Dec. 20.
The parking lot is located at 57th Ave NW and 15th Ave NW, and they’ll kick off their sale on Saturday at 9am. They’ll be there every Monday through Friday from 2pm to 8pm, and on weekends from 9am to 9pm.
“It’s Christmas tree time again for Scouts & Crew 100 Ballard,” the Scouts write in an announcement. This year, girls from the newly established Troop 100G unit will be joining the Christmas tree sale, which is one of their biggest fundraisers of the year, helping send the Scouts to summer camp and keeping their “White Whale” bus in top form.
The Scouts (and crew) will be selling six varieties of fresh-cut trees ranging from 3-feet to 9-feet-tall, including Nobel Fir, Nordmann Fir, Fraser Fir, Korean Fir, Norway Spruce, Sheared Douglas Fir, and Natural Douglas Fir. They’ll also sell other greenery such as wreaths, door decorations, mantelpieces and cedar garland by the foot.
The trees will be delivered twice a week from local growers to ensure freshness.
