West Marine now open in Ballard Blocks 2

West Marine has become the latest business to open up in the new Ballard Blocks 2.

The new location is 24,000 square feet, taking over two stories of the new development just next to the Ballard Bridge.

The new flagship store has a little bit of everything and is twice the size of their old store, with electronics and a marine audio selection, new bait shack service center, and the retailer’s largest rigging shop in the fleet.

They’re celebrating their grand opening this weekend (Dec. 7 – 8, 8am to 4pm) with gift cards and YETI tumblers for the first 100 customers through the door on Saturday. They’ll have giveaways, vendor demos, and seminars throughout the weekend. And for kids, the BlueFuture Kids Zone will have activities including knot tying and puzzle making.

A portion of sales from their grand opening weekend will be donated to Corinthian Yacht Club of Seattle, Sail Sand Point, and West Marine’s BlueFuture program.

West Marine Ballard’s regular hours will be 8am to 7pm Monday to Saturday, and 8am to 6pm on Sunday.
