Ballard High School is about to launch their free winter concerts next week featuring a finale with selections from Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana, performed by a full symphonic orchestra and choir.
The Winter Concert Series will be Dec. 17, 18, and 19, performed by students from the BHS choir, band and orchestra program.
The Carmina Burana finale will combine nearly 200 students on stage from Advanced Chorale, Chamber Orchestra, Symphonic Orchestra and select winds and percussion from the Wind Ensemble.
The concerts will start at 7:30pm each night at Ballard High School’s Earl Kelly Center (1418 NW 65th St) with open seating for general admission. Seats can be reserved online for a donation to the music program (look at upcoming events and search for “Ballard Choir Winter Concert”).
