Monster: Art, Clothing & Gifts will reopen in its new shop on NW Market St. this weekend.
The store is having a reopening event — the “We Moved a Little Bit” party — on Sunday, Feb. 2 from 1pm-6pm. The party will include an art show titled “For the Love of Ballard,” featuring pieces by Ryan Henry Ward – henry, Starheadboy, and Itscathywu. There will also be painting, drawing, button-making, and giveaways.
Monster chose to move from their longtime home on the corner of 20th and Ballard Ave when they couldn’t negotiate a favorable lease renewal. Their new home is at 1716 NW Market St.
At three times the size of their current location, the new spot will allow Monster to expand and offer more art classes to the public. They’ve been doing a monthly stitching class for the past year, but with a dedicated classroom in the new location, they’ll start hosting regular craft nights for customers to draw, knit, stitch, or make buttons.
You can RSVP or learn more on their Facebook event page.
Yaaaaaaaaawn
Ooooh, button making!
Amazing they can post articles about this stuff in no time and nothing about the neighborhood getting turned upside down last night by helicopters and police chases. Oh well sure can’t wait for button making class
The purpose of a neighborhood blog is to post about the goings on in our neighborhood, it’s not a real time news feed. If you crave sensationalist news, then watch the news.
Regardless I don’t see any mention of your story in the news or SPD blotter, so it must have been much ado about nothing?
Oh be quiet
Instead of just ridiculing this blog and posting useless ignorant comments, if you have the scoop on a story about “the neighborhood getting turned upside down last night by helicopters and police chases”, then by all means contact them with the tip. I know they always really appreciate getting helpful and informative tips from other community members, and it helps make the blog better.

I’d be VERY careful about misgendering people. I’ll let it slide this time you terf.
pretty hard to “misgender” someone. There are only 2 genders, your a boy or a girl and that’s science.
