Playgrounds across the city will reopen tomorrow—with a few precautions.
Play areas in all city parks will be open on Oct. 6, but Seattle Parks has outlined a few guidelines to reduce the rate of virus transmission:
- Play will be limited to five or fewer kids at a time on each playground element (slides, ziplines, etc).
- Masks will be required for children over the age of two.
- Maintain six feet of space between children.
- No food or drink will be permitted on the play equipment.
Seattle Parks notes that they will not be regularly cleaning or sanitizing the play areas, so they recommend hand washing and/or hand sanitizer before and after playing.
For questions or concerns about the reopening, you can email PKS_info@seattle.gov.
