The Turkish restaurant Kitchen Istanbul (1744 NW Market St) will be closing at the end of the month, the owners announced on social media.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the closing of The Kitchen Istanbul on January 31st due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” owner Leo wrote. “We want to thank all of our wonderful guests and neighborhood for supporting us over these past years.”
Kitchen Istanbul opened in September 2019 in a space that’s been occupied by many different establishments over the years. Before the Turkish restaurant, Tropicos Breeze operated in the space for two years.
In the past 10 years, at least three other restaurants have been in that space: Golden Beetle, Young American Ale House, and Market Street Grill.
Keep an eye on their social media pages for details leading up to their final day of business.
