After skipping 2020 due to the pandemic, Ballard SeafoodFest is coming back to the neighborhood with a three-day festival in September.
It will be called Off the Hook, set to happen Sept. 10, 11, and 12 in Ballard. While the event will have many of the markings of a traditional SeafoodFest, there are some changes this year.
Off the Hook will be a ticketed, limited capacity, 21+ event to “create a safe and enjoyable experience for attendees, staff, and volunteers,” Ballard Alliance tells My Ballard. The festival will include the usual live music, smoked fish, and craft beers.
“We are absolutely thrilled to produce an event for Ballard and Seattle this summer! It’s a little later than normal, and it will look a little different, but Ballard SeafoodFest Presents: OFF THE HOOK will no doubt be a celebration of the things our community loves: live music, seafood and craft brews, Ballard Alliance Executive Director Mike Stewart says.
“All proceeds from this event—and every SeafoodFest event we have produced since 1974—go back into the Ballard neighborhood through the programs and projects administered by the Ballard Alliance. Everything from homelessness outreach, our clean streets program, the Support Local-Ballard Marketplace, holiday lighting and more are supported by this important fundraising event.”
The music line-up and ticket sales will be available soon; check the SeafoodFest website for details in the coming weeks. Tickets will go on sale in mid-July and will be sold by session: Friday evening, Saturday daytime, Saturday evening, and Sunday daytime.
