The 13th annual Taste of Iceland festival is happening this weekend, with all events centered in and around the National Nordic Museum.
Taste of Iceland is a weekend of free activities with food trucks, live music, and cultural events including a fireside chat with Nikulás Hannigan, the new Consul General of Iceland in New York. The events start on Friday, Oct. 15, and go through Sunday, Oct. 17.
Two of Seattle’s most popular food trucks will be at the National Nordic Museum all weekend featuring an “Inspired by Iceland” takeover: Sam Choy’s Poke to the Max and Monster Dogs will be stationed in the museum’s parking lot (hours listed below).
There will also be an elemental Sound Bath “to promote inner peace and healing” hosted byJósa Goodlife; a movie night screening of “The Third Pole” by Andri Snær Magnason and Anni Ólafsdóttir; and the return of the free Reykjavik Calling concert featuring Iceland’s Laufey.
Iceland Air will also be hosting a spin-the-wheel event with daily prizes that include a trip to Iceland for two.
